AFA Charter
Australian Footbike Association (AFA) Charter
The AFA’s focus is Footbike Racing.
Established in 2009 the AFA exists to grow the sport and advance the capability of Australian Footbike racing competitors.
In achieving this charter, the AFA, s main functions are:
- Provide governance in the functions of safety, marketing, financial, operations and compliance.
- Create and administer the racing and development framework to improve the performance of Australian Footbikers. Coordinate the National and State Titles.
- Select National Teams to represent Australia at international events.
- Determine what support Australian competitors receive when attending international events.
- Provide support and assistance to entities engaged in growing the number of and supporting recreational riders.
- Represent the interests of Australian Footbiking to key Stakeholders.
Key success criteria:
Financial Strength of the AFA. Measure: Operating Surplus. Having funded the activities required to advance its charter.
Membership Growth: Measure: Year on Year Growth of Membership Numbers.
Performance of Australian Competitors at International events. Measure: Podium finishes. Percentage of podium finishes from Australian National Team.
