Notice of Annual General Meeting 2018

Here is notice of the Annual General Meeting for the Australian Footbike Association (the AFA) for 2018.
This is your opportunity to have a major say in the running of the AFA and the functions it delivers in 2019.

The AGM is scheduled for 9th of December 2018, and will be held from 1600 QLD time / 1700 NSW, VIC and ACT time.

Items currently listed for our agenda are as follows:

1. Review of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for the AFA accounts
2. Review of the AFA race calendar for 2019 and advice of upcoming international events
3. General business
4. Election of the new AFA Committee

The current interim President, Andy Whitehead, is calling for any additional agenda items that you think may need consideration by the wider membership or which may be of interest by the wider group. Please leave a message on the contact page form if you have any such items you would like listed on the agenda; or even items for inclusion in general business. Please allow time for this information to be included as an updated agenda will be sent out on the 2nd of December.

At this meeting, we will be electing a new AFA Committee to lead us through 2019. The following positions will be up for election:

1. President;
2. Vice President;
3. Secretary;
4. Treasurer; and
5. General member.

Please make a note of any nominations you may have for people to take on the above roles on the contact form as well. You may also nominate yourself if you are interested in a role.

Andy Whitehead has been nominated to receive and collate these nominations. All nominations should be provided no later than 1 December 2018, so a a list of nominees (and the roles they have been nominated for) can be included on the email to members on 2 December 2018 along with the final agenda.

If you are a member and wish to attend the AGM, a Skype group for the AGM will be set up prior to the event. If you wish to attend the AGM, please leave the details of your Skype account on the contact us form no later than 2 December 2018. Once the group is established relevant instructions for joining the group will be sent to you.

Please be sure to discuss the upcoming AGM with your riding friends to ensure as many people as possible are made aware of the event; especially as not all members have provided the Committee with email addresses or visit this website.
